Spotmau Emergency Kit

Spotmau Emergency Kit is the new 2010 version of Spotmau Windows Recovery combined with Windows Backup. It is a part of Spotmau Powersuite, but is also sold separately, which may be a slightly cheaper choice if all you need is to make a corrupted Windows system boot again.
Windows Recovery is a powerful tool which can boot up even damaged Windows versions by restoring the MBR, disk partition table, and essential system files.
The Windows Backup tool also allows to specify what Windows information you would like to save (for example, personal user settings, application registry entries, startup programs, and so on), so that a later recovery is even more reliable.
A third component of the package is the Data Transfer tool, which also starts from the bootable CD, and allows to copy data between your Windows system and another PC or harddrive, even if the original Windows system does not boot, or the partition is damaged.
We have tested the Emergency kit on a Windows Vista PC with a damaged MBR, and it was able to repair the MBR and to boot the PC completely automatically, without any action needed on our side. This is definitely a very helpful tool, especially for inexperienced Windows users.
