The problem with many Windows versions is that, with time, their registry gets cluttered up with many useless entries by programs which either have not been deinstalled properly, or still linger somewhere without being used. This leads to a slower Windows system, as the registry is being read and processed many thousands of times a day by Windows. It is quite hard to do anything about it manually, as even deleting a few registry keys too many can have drastic consequences, such as Windows simply not booting anymore, or programs not working. - Backup and Restore
RegCure offers comprehensive backup and restore features. If you are using Vista or Windows XP, there are two ways for you to protect against accidents: system restore points and backup files. Meanwhile, if you are using Windows 2000 (SP4), Windows 98 (SE) or Windows ME, every time you remove a registry item a backup file is created.
- Program Shortcuts

- Built-In Scheduler
RegCure’s scheduling allows you to define in advance what RegCure has to do and when, and then just forget it. It can be set to scan at system startup, or scheduled to work on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. Even more than one schedule is possible.
- Invalid Class Keys and Shell Extensions
Dysfunctional class keys as well as invalid shell extensions can cause a severe slow down of your PC speed and be rather unnerving. RegCure scans to find invalid entries, as well as removes them.
