Spotmau Partition Genius is its newest 2010 version is a powerful tool for partition administration. One of the utilities included in Spotmau Powersuite, it is designed to create, activate, delete, resize, merge, format, backup and restore logical and physical partitions.
It also can scan the hard drive for bad sectors, restore the MBR if it has been damaged, and hide partitions.
Additionally, it contains a tool for direct display of data in some particular partition sector.
The tool is a part of the Spotmau bootable CD and has an intuitive and easy to use graphic wizard:

The tool supports all kinds of Windows filesystems - NTFS, FAT32, and FAT16.
Since operating with partitions is potentially system-critical, Partition Genius does not write your changes to disk directly. It first stores them in memory and verifies whether they can be completed error-free. If that is possible, it asks for your confirmation again to finalize your changes to disk.
